Hello Lamont Elementary Families,
We are coming to the end of our first week of alternative learning and I sure hope you are all adjusting to our new normal. Delivering learning this way is new for all of us! As we navigate the technical challenges, teachers will also learn and adjust as we go to figure out what works best for their classes. We appreciate how supportive and patient you have been. We also greatly appreciate the time you are spending to support and encourage your child’s learning at home.
We are so proud of our teachers for tackling the challenge of switching to an online platform in such a short period of time. The Google Classrooms are all up and running with a variety of engaging videos and lessons. Maintaining positive connections and strong relationships will continue to be our priority. If you have any feedback about how the first week has gone, please share it with us so we can continue to provide the best learning opportunities for you child, given the circumstances.
Things feel very different here at school and Mr. Robertson and I are certainly missing our staff and students. We have the opportunity to see the student’s assignments and messages in Google Classroom and are so pleased to see them taking responsibility for continuing their learning at home. As we navigate these next couple of months, please remember that the first priority for your family is always remaining safe and healthy. Please reach out to us if we can help you in any way.
Thank you again for your ongoing support. As always, if you have any questions, concerns or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help you!
We wish you a safe and happy Easter.
